  • An eminent writer, Dramatist, Director/ Artist- active on Sindhi stage and approved artist and writer of All India Radio- Jaipur.
  • Noted cartoonist of Sindhi community who has contributed to this nearly extinct genre in Sindhi. His cartoons are mostly connected to Sindhi literary and cultural scenes.
  • His book of Short stories and collection of one Act Plays have won critical acclaim and his plays have been staged by various dramatic groups in various parts of India.
  • As a Literary and cultural activist, he has remained members of various Governmental and Non-Governmental organisations. In the sixties, was a part of core team in leading agitation for inclusion of Sindhi Language in 8 th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
  • Worked ceaselessly to preserve original Sindhi script.
  • Has remained as working Chairman of Rajasthan Sindhi Academy.
  • Was President of Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli ain Sahit Sabha from 1997 to 2018. During his tenure, apart from literary orientation, he gave Sabha a cultural orientation by organising not only literary seminars but also Drama Festivals and Sangeet Festivals on regular basis. In the year 2007, Sabha organised a Gala function to mark the Golden Jubilee year of its foundation. On that occasion a book about the History of Sabha was also published.
    He resigned as a president of Sabha after 21 years. During that period Sabha emerged as a main organisation to recognise and give yearly prizes to talented persons of the community in various fields of Literature, Art, Education andCulture. In this process many eminent Sindhi personalities from India (and later from Sindh as well) were honoured to emphasise the unity of Sindhi Literature and Culture across the political borders.
  • In the year 2018 he was awarded covetous “SAMI” Award by Rajasthan Sindhi Academy as a ‘Life Time Achievement Award’.
  • After he stepped down as a president of Sabha in 2018, he was honoured with Sundri Uttamchandani, Sindhyat Award by Sabha for his lifelong services. (Memorial Award instituted by Asha Chand and Beena Khiani in memory of their well-known mother a noted literary celebrity who made significant contribution to Sindhi Literature).
