Late Dr. Moti Prakash, is one of the outstanding poets of the post-partition Sindhi literature. He has contributed to other genres, such as short story, drama, and novel, critical essay, literary sketches and journalistic columns in a few newspapers.

Late Dr. Moti Prakash was a founder Secretary of "Sindhu Kala Mandir', which was established with the object of staging Sindhi full length / one act plays. In addition, he has produced about 250 plays & features for AIR during his tenure with AIR from 1956 to 1977. He also wrote the following Three-Act-plays:

He possessed a very keen interest in education of Sindhi children. He joined K. J. Khilnani High School at Mumbai, where he scaled the ladder to the highest position of the Principal. Then he was lured to Dubai to manage the well-known Indian High School, from where he retired as a Rector, having built the institution to a glory. At present is heading the Indian Institute of Sindhology, Adipur, Kutch as the Director.
